Michelle Mills supports organizational strategy and operations at Aurrera Health. She leads efforts to align internal systems with the firm’s growth and mission. Michelle brings over 25 years of experience working with government, nonprofit, and technology partners.
Before joining Aurrera Health, Michelle led the health policy and communications practice at a consulting and software firm, supporting clients with policy analysis and legislative strategy. She also worked for a health IT start-up and at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, where she helped develop regulations for Medicaid electronic health record incentives as well as led delivery system reform efforts and operations under the Affordable Care Act.
Earlier in her career, Michelle worked in domestic violence prevention and sexual health education as a practitioner, community organizer, and board member. She holds a master’s degree in health policy and administration from the University of Chicago. Michelle lives near Chicago with her spouse and three daughters, where she serves as a library trustee and community volunteer.
