Kelly Murphy, MPH, leads behavioral health policy initiatives at Aurrera Health. She brings extensive expertise in state administration of federal grants and other state programs, particularly those focused on addressing substance use disorders. She also brings policy expertise in maternal and child health as well as public health.
Before joining Aurrera Health, Kelly was the Director of Early Childhood and Maternal Health at Families USA, where she led projects to improve policy and health outcomes across all levels of government. She previously served as project director for the State Opioid Response grant at the District of Columbia’s Department of Behavioral Health and spent over seven years at the National Governors Association, where she supported governors in developing comprehensive opioid response plans. Her work has also addressed infant and maternal mortality, COVID-19 vaccination, and home visiting programs.
Kelly lives in Washington, D.C. with her family and enjoys taking walks through the city’s charming neighborhoods.
