Courtney Cann, MPH, supports a range of behavioral health initiatives at Aurrera Health, including statewide opioid response. She provides policy research, project management, and stakeholder engagement support to help advance system transformation and improve service delivery.
Before joining Aurrera Health, Courtney was a senior research associate at a consulting firm where she contributed to projects involving Medicaid managed care performance measurement, state-directed payments, and survey research. She assisted in facilitating focus groups and interviews with Californians about their experiences with telehealth and collected survey data regarding enrollment in Covered California during the Medi-Cal unwinding period. Earlier in her career, Courtney worked as a neuroscience researcher at the National Institute on Drug Abuse, studying the effects of substance use disorder on learning and memory.
Outside of work, Courtney enjoys running, playing softball, paddleboarding, and hiking.
